MOTHERS OF INTENTION, are a Celtic inspired four piece band featuring 3 part vocal harmonies, rhythm guitar, fiddle, mandolin,irish whistles,recorders and Bodran(Irish frame drum.) The extensive repertoire includes a vibrant mix of Celtic and Folk inspired covers, traditional and original songs sung in exquisite three part harmony. The Mothers also play trad and original tunes, jigs and reels.This electric mix makes for an interesting,varied and enjoyable performance .
  
        MOTHERS OF INTENTION released their second album WATERSONG in 2007 and subsequently won the award for BEST WORLD/FOLK tune at the MUSICOZ awards for TRAVELLING SONG! With the  cover artwork painted by Penny, Watersong is a wonderful decription and expression of their music and journey. Inspired by their surroundings, the beautiful Fairlight foreshores and Northern Sydney Beaches are the backdrop for their art and sound.

       MOTHERS OF INTENTION are a popular  group being regularly booked at Folk festivals, Community events, Markets, Fairs, Weddings. Parties and Corporate functions. The Mothers have  a warm and engaging presence on stage and the music  appeals to a wide audience . MOTHERS OF INTENTION can adjust the repertoire to suit any occasion making every concert a memorable event.
      Mothers of Intention are becoming infamous for their  live Karifolkie- Folk Karaoke , which has become a festival favourite. They have been known to also offer this to private functions, contact MOI  for more details.
